Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aldous was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears a green wide-brimmed hat and green clothes. His white hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines green.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Gilbert was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Description: He is dressed in an above average manner. His moppish auburn hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His amber eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Description: An older man who wears silk and lounges about seductively, he is not a threatening figure. He keeps his long black hair kept up in a rat tail. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born in the east. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a red vest and prefers pastel and yellow shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down, and is pretty ugly. His hair is silver and curly. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He comes from a rich western family. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
