History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He was taken from his home at a very young age. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Through the years after Conrad was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Conrad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he has decided he is irredeemable

His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His auburn hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His eyes are likewise gray. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and wants to work out more often
