His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up spear and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Slave Trader hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it.

History: The child of a Shoemaker, who enjoyed hunting, Clerebold was taken on many hunting expeditions. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
