History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Gerald took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now mingles about in high society.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and to get a good night's sleep
