History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roland grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roland. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Richard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted druidic powers by his dying sister.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Roland's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Through the years after Roland was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Roland's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and he feels kind of lost in life
