History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he feels threatened by others

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and money/treasure

Description: He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty grey coat over it, and carries shortbows. His auburn hair, when down, is lengthy. His ears are large.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Alex was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, John is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in John's homeland. John decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. John fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
