History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and he feels threatened by others

He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Gerard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Banker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Server they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Banker, and he later adopted a second son.
