History: The child of a Ruler, who enjoyed hunting, Bertram was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Bertram alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He became a Apothecary soon after.
