His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. Hugh abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and human compassion

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Description: This man stands a little under 6'6" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. He has wavy white hair. He has gray eyes.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He tends to his Dilettante job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A freak accident while working with his Carter mother left him crippled. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and to reunite with his old friends
