History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Bernard's homeland. Bernard decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away.
