History: Simon lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student he started as a Cook, but he got bored and became a Gardener. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. The war was a terrible time for him, and Chad does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born into a rich family. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
