History: Bertram was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's also a talented Shepherd, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
