History: Ralf hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: Born in the east to a Courier, Kyle learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and balancing his hectic life and new courier responsibilities is difficult
