Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Gifted from a young age, Charles studied abroad. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Charles fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of brigands once and for all.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His childhood dream was to be a Fortune-teller, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Fortune-teller, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and he is unsatisfied with his job
