History: Lance was born the youngest of three triplets. A freak accident while working with his Crown-heir mother left him crippled. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Percival grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Percival. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
