He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Shane took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He is a Slaad in disguise. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

He prefers to carry a longbow, but if one is not available he will default to his scythe. He has dyed his greying auburn hair a little too much giving a sharp auburn color. His half smiles and amber eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. Shane enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Shane was born with his mother's beautiful face. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Junk Dealer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
