History: Jocelyn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He worked as a nervous Fletcher and found it very stressful. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
