He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born in the east. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. Being a Shoemaker kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against brigands

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he is wracked by social anxiety
