History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. A freak accident while working with his Miner father left him crippled. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Miner. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Soapmaker business.

History: He was born into a rich family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he is greedy
