History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aldous grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
