History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Jocelyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
