History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Personality: Ernest hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: The child of a Bookbinder, who enjoyed hunting, Ernest was taken on many hunting expeditions. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He bought a bow and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
