History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gerard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and many illithids want him driven away

Description: The dark-skinned man stands 6'2" and dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner. With a patchy brown beard and wild brown hair. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured. He wears his red hair down. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: Frederick lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Banker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it
