To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Adelard. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Herbalist who has hired him part-time. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Dean has worked very hard to control his curse. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
