He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was born in a small plains village. Charles was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
