History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Herbalist they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Guard, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Miles lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Richard was born with his mother's beautiful face. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
