Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body, marred by sweets. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy brown hair. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: John lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. John grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did John. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Description: With white face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a robe, a symbol of death around his neck, and a sai on his belt. With a patchy red beard and wild red hair. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. Dean is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with singing. He constantly tries to fill his life with singing. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born in a small plains village. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Description: This tall, slender man wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with brown colored cloaks and clothing. His golden hair is braided into rings. His gray eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Roger was born the youngest of three triplets. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Barrister work with an outfit from a few towns over. Barrister work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and to be a bookbinder again

Description: This man stands a little under 5'10" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty green coat over it. With a patchy brown beard and wild brown hair. His eyes are hazel and beady.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
