History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Gerald was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: Aldous lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
