History: Heward was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Masseuse business.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. He's also a talented Soapmaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
