History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Tanner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Tanner work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Roland was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
