History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He worked as a nervous Herbalist and found it very stressful. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Herbalist for the past few years.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
