Personality: Adelard is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: This younger middle-aged man is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down, and a wedding ring on his left hand. His long chestnut hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: This western man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized blue coat. He sports a long brown beard, and similarly colored long hair. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are blue.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and is dressed in earthy colors with a blue and pastel handkerchief worn on his left side. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His golden hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jocelyn grew up listening to his father's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and to get a good night's sleep

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants.
