History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Adelard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Arnold was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and revenge

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of orcs once and for all.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. After a long history of fighting, Kyle and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it
