Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Guard born in the past three hundred years. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Guard. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has achieved small success as a Doctor.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His divine abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and revenge

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, William was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
