History: Conrad was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Ernest was born with his mother's beautiful face. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
