A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He tends to his Courier job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
