Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Ernest was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). During his travels, Ernest and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Ernest discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Ernest fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bookbinder.
