Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Roger's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Born in the west to a Bounty Hunter, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and to reunite with his absent mother
