After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.
