History: Rolf was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Engraver born in the past three hundred years. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by goblins and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Engraver for the past few years.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now mingles about in high society.
