History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has never given up on his poetry dream.
