History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of drow may trigger it at times.

After coming to the age of reason, Nicholas took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
