Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. John fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Description: An older man who wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with feathered hat, he is not a threatening figure. Sporting a white mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. He has hazel eyes and a white hat with a grey feather.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Hubert is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born into a rich family. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and doesn't want to be a mason and was forced into it by his family
