History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He tends to wear a brown poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. He has dyed his greying red hair a little too much giving a sharp red color. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Through the years after Bertram was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Bertram's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

This search led him directly into Bowyer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bowyer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hubert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
