Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Manfred is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and retire the richest man in the north

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Gifted from a young age, Percival studied abroad. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A gifted student he started as a Navigator, but he got bored and became a Animal Trainer. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.
