Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.
History: He got into the Bricklayer business at a young age. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. He has a moderate pudge and is not very fit. He wears his golden hair up in a very large beehive style do. He has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.
Personality: Geoffrey hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has never given up on his writing dream.
Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and to reunite with his absent father

Description: This exceptionally lanky man wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. His black hair is singed and shortened. His amber eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered
History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. John was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Crown-heir. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

Description: This man dresses in tan turtlenecks beneath a brown coat with blue slacks, and sports empty pouches on his belt. His hair is short and blonde. He has several tiny jet earrings on each ear.
Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the east. After coming to the age of reason, Don took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.
History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.
