When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Map Maker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Nicholas and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Gifted from a young age, Don studied abroad. When Don reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Engraver they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Shoemaker, and he later adopted a second daughter.
