He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, John grew up listening to his father's many stories. Through the years after John was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. John's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
