History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Courier arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Roland is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roland grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roland. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He tends to his Locksmith job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
