He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Heward was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
